HRP-MN is an organization dedicated to the professional development of human resource professionals. As an up-and-coming human resources professional, we invite you to join us with a special membership designed just for you, the HR student.

Benefits of Student Membership

Whether you're a graduate student or an undergraduate student, your ability to be successful as an HR professional is dependent upon your ability to integrate your classroom learning with real life HR situations. HRP-MN's student membership program enhances your success by providing you with the following benefits:

  • Monthly luncheon or breakfast programs featuring leading edge presenters.
  • Development seminars and mini-conferences on current HR subjects/trends.
  • Access to an online membership directory.
  • The opportunity to participate on committees that connect you with other HR professionals and to make an impact on HR policy and programs.
  • Internship and job posting opportunities through an online job board.
  • Enhanced future employment opportunities and professional relationships through networking with other HRP-MN members and students.
  • The integration of classroom learning with the practical application of human resource activities through the monthly luncheon meetings.
  • The opportunity to job shadow, or be mentored by, an HRP-MN member.

Student Membership Criteria

To be eligible for a student membership, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled at least half time in an undergraduate or graduate program through an accredited college or university.
  • Be in a college program in human resources or a related field (examples are Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, Finance and Compensation, Occupational Health and Safety, or Strategic Management).
