HRP-MN Philanthropy
HRP-MN has a Philanthropy Committee which is dedicated to supporting two charities by holding annual fundraising events. These charities are selected by the HRP-MN Board upon meeting stringent guidelines set forth by the Board. In addition to giving back to the community, the Philanthropy Committee Events enhance the warm and personal culture of our organization and are considered by our membership as some of the highlights on the HRP-MN calendar.
The fundraising events include a Golf Outing and dinner in July as well as a Holiday Event with a silent auction and dinner in December. The current benefactors are MOCA (Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance) and Meld.
MOCA's mission is to create an awareness regarding early warning signs that may be indicative of ovarian cancer and to create and promote resources for support, networking and education for women diagnosed with ovarian cancer in order help them in their battle. MOCA works to unite and educate individuals, the medical community and organizations in the fight to overcome ovarian cancer and advance research toward a cure. MOCA raises money and awards research grants towards earlier detection, better treatment and a cure for ovarian cancer.
Meld is a non-profit family service organization, that makes a positive difference for 30 years in the lives of families with children nurturing the crucial connections between parents and children by building skills, knowledge, support systems, and confidence. Through this work with Meld, parents get what they need to raise nurtured, competent children.
