Please allow me to introduce myself, I am the Vice President of Membership for Human Resource Professionals of Minnesota. The Membership Committee would like to understand the needs of our members, and I believe that one of the most important pieces of feedback that HRP can receive is from past members.
I respect your decision to not renew your membership, and I feel that your feedback could be valuable in identifying needs/services that may not be offered to our members today. Your response will be held in the strictest of confidence, and could help shape the future of services and programs that may be offered through HRP.

The Board recently met and we had some great discussion on the direction that HRP-MN will take in the upcoming fiscal year. The mid year retreat also offered the opportunity to talk about current Board and Committee roles for the upcoming fiscal year, and it got me thinking about what volunteer opportunity I want to be involved in during the upcoming fiscal year. There are so many great opportunities to become involved in HRP-MN, and now is the perfect time to consider how you can get involved with HRP-MN. The following will highlight some of the volunteer opportunities that you may wish to consider:
- Build partnerships with various colleges throughout the metropolitan area and encourage student involvement through the College Relations Committee.
- Help develop strategies to attract new members and retain our current source of HR professionals by working on the Membership Committee.
- Get involved with the Philanthropy Committee to help plan and coordinate events that give back to the community.
- Coordinate topics and speakers for the monthly luncheon programs as well as the mini-conferences while participating on the Programs Committee.
- Welcome our members and guests at monthly meetings and help coordinate facility needs by becoming involved on the Reservations/Facilities Committee.
- Edit and review newsletter content as a member of the Update Committee.
- Coordinate monthly events that allow members, and non-members, the opportunity to get to know their peers by helping out with the Networking Committee.
There are just some of the opportunities available, please feel free to contact a Committee Chair or Board Member to learn more about these great opportunities: http://www.hrpmn.org/board. To join one of these committees you can complete the on-line form at our website: http://www.hrpmn.org/pages/howtovolunteer.
We look forward to having you become involved in your professional organization.
Sincerely,
Vice President, Membership
