Greeter Committee Chair

The Chair of the HRP-MN Greeter Committee is responsible for recruiting and retaining a committee of 5-6 members who welcome members and guests to our monthly program meetings. The goal of the committee is to make members and guests feel comfortable and welcomed as they wait in line to register for the meeting or as they enter the meeting room. This committee chair reports to the Vice President Membership.

Duties:

  • Recruits and retains a committee of 5 or 6 members to act as greeters.
  • Greet and welcome HRP-MN members and guests at the monthly program meeting.
  • Ensures that the registration line is moving and directs members to the membership table, restroom facilities, and coat rack, as appropriate.
  • Directs inquiring members to specific Board members, e.g., Vice President Membership if they would like membership information, Chair of Networking Committee, etc.
  • May assist Reservations/Facilities in talking with catering staff regarding additional seating that may be needed.
  • May inform meeting members to start the buffet line.

 

Calendar:

  • Manages duties on a monthly basis.
  • May hold quarterly committee meetings, in person or through telephone conferences.

 

Special Information

    • One Board Member and one HRP-MN member should always be available to greet at monthly meetings.
    • Greeters wear a name badge and designation identifying their role.
