Assistant Vice President Finance
The Assistant Vice President Finance assists the Vice President Finance in monthly financial matters. This is at least a two-year commitment, the first year as Assistant Vice President, the following year serving as Vice President Finance, if necessary, subject to re-election to the Board.
Duties
- Assists in managing the handling of bank funds, cash flow, and expense management.
- Assists in preparing the organization’s budget for the next fiscal year.
Calendar
- April: Assists in presenting preliminary budget to Board.
- August: Assists in presenting revised budget to Board.
- January: presents mid-year performance against the budget to Board.
Committee interface
- Reservations/Facilities: Receives monthly Event Revenue and Expense Report.
- VP Membership: Reviews monthly membership revenues.
- Programs/Professional Development: Receives Event Revenue and Expense Reports for Mini-Conferences.
- Other interfaces as directed by the Vice President Finance.
Special Information
- All records must be thorough, accurate, legible and defensible with respect to an audit for a non-profit organization.
- Copies of all bank deposits and invoices are maintained and audited monthly at the administrative management organization’s location.
- Works closely with Accountant at the administrative management firm.
